CINTAA & CAWT Committees Express Gratitude For MCGM Support



The Executive Committee of Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) along with trustees of Cine Artistes’ Welfare Trust (CAWT) visited the MCGM HQ to express their  gratitude to MCGM Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal  for his support and guidance to help acquire the Occupancy Certificate (OC) for the CINTAA Tower, Andheri West.
Present at the meeting were SVP Manoj Joshi,  Treasurer Abhay Bhargav, Hetal Parmar and Tej Sapru of CINTAA along with Johnny Lever,  Ms. Priti Sapru and Secretary J D Tiwari of CAWT.

The 32nd foundation day of the Shri Swami Samarth Annachatra Trust (Akkalkot) is to be celebrated along with the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima on July 16. In the memory of the late Akkalkot King Shrimant Vijaysinhraje Bhosale, the Trust will organize the first Annual Swami Ratna, Swami Bhushan and Swami Sevak Awards. At the said ceremony, beloved music icon Padma Vibhushan Asha Bhosle will be awarded the first Swami Ratna National Award 2019 and honoured with a cash prize of Rs.5 lakh. Massakali Movement strives to empower the Indian Handloom Weaver Shabana Azmi, Bhagyashree and Sharmila Thackeray Grace The Event

In order to revive the Indian handloom industry, and to keep the craftsmanship of the Paithani weaver women alive and breathing, Shraddha Sawant and her brainchild Massakali had brought together more than 500 handloom sarees to an exhibition at Novotel, Juhu. H andloom lovers and actresses Shabana Azmi and Bhagyashree were present along with Sharmila Thackeray, actress Indira Krishnan, filmmaker Anusha Srinivasan Iyer and Indian ethnic wear influencer Mamta Sharma Das aka The Bohobaalika, among many other celebrities.  It was a pleasure to see them mingle with the weavers and their families, showing exactly how special a place handloom has in their hearts, as they all walked in wearing exclusive Massakali creations.
