Vrindaban Gurukul resonated to the sound of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan’s Sarod on Saturday evening. The maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan performed with Pandit Vijay Ghate. 
The crowd remained mesmerised for over 90 minutes rooted to their position, clapping as Ustadji with Pandit Vijay Ghate on the tabla took us on a melodious musical journey, sometimes with soulful ragas and other times with energetic jugalbandis, that made the gurukul come alive. Mumbai-based National Award Winning author Aabid Surti, who among many other things is also an incisive environmentalist and accomplished artist, is back in full force. The author of many bestselling books, some of which have even courted controversy, has revisited one of his autobiographical tomes titled 'Sufi – The Invisible Man of The Underworld' and updated it to make it more current. Sriram Raghavan, Shridhar Raghavan and Annie Zaidi were present at the launch. “Sufi,” begins Surti, “is the story of two boys who grew up in the 60s and 70s’ Mumbai’s infamous Dongri area.
